EIMA 2024

EIMA International – A Milestone in Agricultural Innovation

EIMA International 2024, one of the most influential agricultural machinery exhibitions in the world, took place in Bologna, Italy, from November 6-10. This event served as a global stage for the latest innovations in smart farming, mechanization, and sustainable agriculture. Farmers, agroenterprises, and industry leaders gathered to explore groundbreaking technological solutions designed to transform modern agriculture.

At PeK Automotive, we were honored to showcase our autonomous agricultural robots, Slopehelper and Agilehelper, designed to redefine efficiency in orchard and vineyard farming. The event not only provided a platform to introduce our latest advancements but also highlighted the crucial role of technology in addressing the evolving challenges in the plantation industry.

EIMA International 2024: A Landmark Event for Agriculture

EIMA International is more than just an exhibition; it is a strategic meeting point for the agricultural industry. With over 300,000 visitors from around the world, this event showcased an impressive range of solutions tailored to the specific needs of different farming sectors. The focus was on automation, sustainability, and precision agriculture, aligning perfectly with the future of farming.

Why EIMA Matters for Orchard and Vineyard Farming

The agriculture sector is undergoing rapid changes, especially in regions with specialized orchard and vineyard plantations. Italy, renowned for its high-quality wine and fruit production, is at the forefront of adopting agricultural robotics to improve efficiency and sustainability. Key challenges that were addressed at EIMA included:

Labor Shortages – Many orchard and vineyard farmers struggle to find skilled labor, making automation essential for long-term productivity.

Sustainability – The demand for environmentally friendly farming practices continues to grow. Precision farming technologies help reduce chemical usage and minimize environmental impact.

Efficiency and Cost Reduction – Traditional farming methods require significant resources. Autonomous solutions like Slopehelper and Agilehelper cut operational costs and improve productivity.

The Role of Technology in Italian Vineyard and Orchard Farming

Italy is a global leader in wine and fruit production, with regions like Tuscany, Piedmont, and Veneto producing some of the world’s finest wines. However, maintaining high agricultural standards requires continuous innovation. This is where agricultural technology comes into play.

At EIMA 2024, we saw a major emphasis on automation, AI-driven machinery, and data-driven farming. The integration of GPS-guided equipment, autonomous tractors, and smart sensors is becoming more common in vineyard and orchard management, allowing farmers to increase yields while reducing manual labor.

The future of Italian farming lies in adapting to these technologies, ensuring greater precision, sustainability, and profitability. PEK Automotive is leading the charge in this transformation with our fully autonomous agricultural machines.

Slopehelper & Agilehelper: The Future of Orchard and Vineyard Automation
At Hall 32, Stand B/7, PEK Automotive presented our latest advancements in autonomous farming. Our innovative solutions – Slopehelper and Agilehelper – were designed specifically to meet the needs of orchard and vineyard farmers.

Slopehelper: A Fully Autonomous Orchard Management Solution

Slopehelper is an all-in-one, fully autonomous robotic system that performs essential farming tasks, such as:

Mowing – Keeping the ground cover under control without manual intervention. Spraying – Optimized, precise spraying reduces chemical use and protects the environment. Pruning and Harvesting Assistance – Improves efficiency and minimizes reliance on seasonal labor. Soil Cultivation – Ensures better root aeration and plant health.

With advanced AI-driven navigation, Slopehelper can operate on various terrains, including steep vineyards and uneven orchards, making it an indispensable tool for modern European farmers.

Agilehelper: The Compact & Cost-Effective Vineyard Robot

Agilehelper is a specialized robotic solution for vineyard owners, ideal for small and mid-sized vineyards looking to adopt automation without major infrastructure changes. Agilehelper robotic system consists of two separate robotic machines:

1.Grassfighter – with integrated specialized tools: Drum Mulcher, Power Harrow and Horizontal & Vertical Cutter. All three together effectively manage vineyard vegetation.

    2. Double-Side Sprayer – Ensures efficient and precise spraying, reducing waste and improving crop protection.

By using Agilehelper, vineyard owners can significantly cut labor costs, improve precision in chemical application, and enhance overall productivity.

EIMA 2024 and the Future of Agricultural Robotics
EIMA International 2024 reinforced the vital role of technology in modern farming, particularly in vineyard and orchard management. The event demonstrated that the future of agriculture lies in automation, AI-driven systems, and sustainable solutions.

PEK Automotive remains committed to driving innovation in agricultural robotics, providing practical, cost-effective, and autonomous solutions for farmers worldwide. The success of Slopehelper and Agilehelper at EIMA 2024 was a testament to the growing demand for automation in agriculture.
